Blast furnace plug valve shares the same purpose as blast furnace burden valve. Plug valve is installed inside the receiving hopper, and driven by a hydraulic cylinder. Hardfacing is carried out on the tungsten carbide, which is the raw material of the plug valve. Valve seat adopts high-chromium cast iron, and valve stem is equipped with a wear-resistant covering. These designs enable the plug valve a long serving life and maintenance-free.
